Health-Contract.com includes built-in tools for collecting electronic signatures. The Esign tools are available to users designated as Account Managers, Attorneys, and Contract Managers. Under the Community Plan, these user roles have access to Basic Esign contracts. Dedicated and Custom Plan subscribers have access to Basic Esign contracts, reusable Esign Templates, and Standalone Esign contracts. All three tools are explained below and in the demonstration video.
If you have ever worked with electronic signatures, you know that Esign contracts tend to result in demonstrably faster execution times, particularly when users have the option of signing contracts electronically on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.
Users are not required to use Health-Contract.com’s built-in Esign tools, but these tools can save you money on the per user license fees charged by other Esign vendors.
Basic Esign (All Plans) vs Premium Templates & Standalone Esign
Community Plan users have access to Basic Esign contracts, while Dedicated and Custom Plan subscribers have access to Basic Esign contracts, reusable Esign Templates, and Standalone Esign contracts.
- Basic Esign contracts are one-off contracts that are setup one at a time and intended for unique, specific parties. It is relatively fast and easy to setup a Basic Esign contract, but you still have to set them up one at a time. Users of all three plan types can create Basic Esign contracts.
- Templates are a premium Esign feature for Dedicated and Custom Plan users. This premium feature lets you copy and paste your standard contract text into reusable templates that you can share with other users on your account or all users on your account within selected roles. Users with access to these shared templates can setup and send new Basic Esign contracts from the pre-saved template files.
- Standalone Esign contracts are another premium feature for Dedicated and Custom Plan users. Standalone Esign contracts are standardized agreements that stand alone on a static, public-facing webpage and can be reused repeatedly with different parties and signers without modification. Confidentiality Agreements and Business Associate Agreements are good examples of standardized contracts that are signed repeatedly by different signers without any modification to the contract text. If you do not have any issues with your standard agreement language sitting on a publicly accessible webpage, then Standalone Esign contracts can save you some time eliminating the need to setup the same Basic Esign contract repeatedly.
Important Note: EACH user in Community Plan subscriptions has to setup their own Basic Esign contract documents one at a time, whereas Dedicated and Custom plan subscribers have to the option save Esign Template contracts and share those Esign contract templates with other users in their accounts.
